For Cohort K62 and Supplementary Students from Other Cohorts – Hanoi Campus

Foreign Trade University (FTU) announces the plan for registration to pursue a second full-time undergraduate degree for Cohort K62 and eligible supplementary students from other cohorts at the Hanoi campus, as follows:

1. Eligibility and Conditions

Students currently enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program who meet the following criteria:

• Have accumulated at least 35 credits and do not have an academic standing classified as “weak” in their first-degree program.
  
• Voluntarily register to study a second program and pay tuition fees for courses of the second program in accordance with FTU regulations.
  
• Tuition fees for the second program will follow the annual tuition rate of the selected program.

2. Available Majors

Students may register for a major in a different field of study from their first program, including majors in:

• Standard programs
• High-quality programs taught in English
• International career-oriented programs

Important Notes:

For students registering for majors in Commercial Languages (including standard and high-quality programs in English, Japanese, Chinese, and French):

• Must take an entrance language proficiency test. Only students who pass will be admitted.
  
• If students hold valid international language certificates (see Appendix 1 & 2), they are exempt from the entrance test and will be considered based on their preferences.

For students registering for high-quality programs or international career-oriented programs taught in English:

• Must take and pass an English placement test as per that year’s admission notice to be considered.
  
• Students with valid international English certificates (see Appendix 1) are exempt from the test and will be considered directly.

For students whose first major is an advanced, high-quality, or career-oriented program:
They may be admitted into high-quality or international-oriented programs in the second major if desired.

3. Registration Procedure

Students must complete the following steps:

Step 1: Download and complete the application form for a second full-time undergraduate program [HERE].

Step 2: Register via Google Form using the provided link [HERE] (registration period: March 20 – April 2, 2025).

• Make sure to specify the major and the associated language (e.g., International Economics – English).
• It’s recommended to choose the same foreign language as your first program.
• If you hold valid international language certificates, upload them during the survey submission.

Step 3: Submit notarized copies of international language certificates (for students applying to high-quality or international-oriented programs) to the Academic Affairs Office.

• Time: March 20 – April 2, 2025
• Place: Student Reception Desk – Academic Affairs Office (Room A0204)

Additional Notes:

• Eligible students may start taking credit-based courses from Stage 2 – Semester 2 of the 2024–2025 academic year.
• Follow updates on course equivalencies between programs via FTU’s official websites.
• Students from standard programs registering for English-taught majors cannot transfer credits from Vietnamese-taught courses to English-taught ones. However, students who took English-taught courses in their first program may transfer credits to standard programs in the second major.
• Students will join regular credit-based classes organized each semester.
• Students will follow the training program corresponding to their own cohort.

The list of approved students for the second undergraduate program will be published on FTU’s website by April 7, 2025.
