1. Educational Objectives

1.1. General objectives

The Bachelor Program in International Economics and Development has the goal of training high-quality human resources with full political qualities, ethics, and professional capacity to be able to take on positions as consultants, analysts, or managers in the field of international economics and development within ministries, domestic and international development organizations, and non-profit organizations. The program is designed to ensure that graduates possess the ability to analyze, evaluate, research, and apply their knowledge to economic and development issues in a scientific, logical, and creative manner. The program also equips students with practical skills, decision-making abilities, and problem-solving competencies in international economics, development, diplomacy, and other related fields. Graduates will have a solid grasp of theoretical and practical tools, along with essential skills to study, conduct scientific research, and work independently and effectively to meet the requirements of comprehensive and sustainable development.

1.2. Specific objectives:

PO1: Providing knowledge in the field of international economics and development from the individual, business to national and international perspectives;

PO2: Providing skills in using research tools and methods to analyze and evaluate issues in the field of international economics and development;

PO3: Training physical fitness, presentation skills, critical thinking skills, foreign languages, office informatic skills;

PO4: Training creativity, sense of responsibility and community service.

2. Program Learning Outcomes

2.1. Knowledge

PLO 1: Demonstrate abilities to understand fundamental  knowledge on political science and social sciences in studying and working;

PLO 2: Analyze the activities of economic entities related to to international economics and development;

PLO 3: Apply research tools and methods in solving issues related to international economics and development;

2.2. Skills

PLO 4: Demonstrate critical thinking, learning and research skills; communication and information delivery skills;

PLO 5: Use a specialized foreign language (English or French) proficiently in all 4 skills, equivalent to level 4/6 of the Vietnamese foreign language competency framework;

PLO 6: Use office informatic software proficiently (advanced IT skills as prescribed in Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated March 11, 2014, issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications);

2.3. Autonomous and self-responsible Aptitude

PLO 7: Demonstrate abilities to work independently, collaborate in teams, and have innovative thinking;

PLO 8: Demonstrate resilience in overcoming difficulties and challenges; responsibility towards oneself, the collective, and a sense of community service.
