Bachelor in Commercial Business, majoring in Global Digital Business (International Career-Oriented Program)

1. Training objectives

General Objectives:

The programme aims to develop high-quality human resources for global digital commercial business. Upon graduation, students are expected to possess disciplinary knowledge in economics and global commercial business, together with knowledge of data, information technology, digital technologies, and digital transformation; demonstrate sound political qualities, professional ethics, community awareness, and a strong foreign-language foundation; and possess the intellectual and personal capacity required to meet the expectations of both the Vietnamese and international labour markets.

Specific Objectives:

PO1: Possess specialised knowledge and skills in (i) economics and global commercial business, and (ii) data, information technology, digital technology trends, and specialised tools used in digital transformation projects and the development of digital-platform-based commercial activities.

PO2: Demonstrate innovation capability, professional practice capability, the ability to work in multicultural environments, resilience in overcoming challenges, and a sense of social responsibility.

PO3: Possess advanced knowledge and skills in commercial business and digital business, with understanding of business-related areas such as finance, payment, business data analytics, marketing, communications, branding, and business culture from the perspective of digital technology and digital transformation.

PO4: Possess the knowledge and skills required to analyse and synthesise information and to apply digital-data tools and technologies to solve real-world business problems; evaluate and improve professional activities; and manage and coordinate business projects in the field of commercial business.

2. Program Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

PLO1: Apply foundational knowledge in natural sciences, political science, social sciences and humanities, and law for learning and work.

PI01.1: Apply foundational knowledge of mathematics and statistics to support problem solving in learning and research.

PI01.2: Apply foundational knowledge of the social sciences and humanities to support problem solving in learning, research, and work.

PI01.3: Apply research methodology in addressing problems arising in learning, research, and work.

PLO2: Analyse business and commercial issues on the basis of foundational knowledge in economics, commercial business, digitalisation, digital technologies, and data exploitation.

PLO3: Propose options for implementing the digital transformation of business operations and/or plans for developing digital business activities.

PI03.1: Evaluate the performance of commercial business and global digital business on the basis of specialised technologies and tools.

PI03.2: Analyse, forecast, and propose options for implementing the digital transformation of business operations and/or plans for developing global commercial business activities.

Skills

PLO4: Coordinate data collection, organisation, and analysis activities in economic and commercial business operations.

PLO5: Conduct the research process, including problem identification, critical analysis of literature, the use of appropriate data-exploitation tools, solution proposal, and implementation planning for commercial business issues.

PI05.1: Carry out the research process, including problem identification, critical literature review, the use of appropriate data-exploitation tools, and the formulation of sound conclusions.

PI05.2: Present and communicate clearly, and defend research results through critical argumentation.

PLO6: Select and use appropriate communication styles and media in international and multicultural environments.

PLO7: Demonstrate proficient use of English (equivalent to Level 5/6 under the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework issued together with Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT), including disciplinary English for commercial business and digital business.

PI07.1: Use English proficiently for learning and work in international environments, particularly in the business field, at Level 5/6.

PI07.2: Use specialised English in commercial business and digital business proficiently.

PLO8: Demonstrate proficiency in office computing (in accordance with advanced ICT competency standards under Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated 11 March 2014 of the Ministry of Information and Communications); attain Level 5/8 in the competency domains of data and information literacy, communication and collaboration in digital environments, digital content creation, and safety, and Level 4/8 in the domain of artificial intelligence application under the Digital Competency Framework issued together with Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated 24 January 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Autonomy and Responsibility

PLO9: Develop the capacity to work independently, proactively plan, implement, and evaluate in order to improve the effectiveness of activities; demonstrate social responsibility and comply with ethical standards relevant to commercial business.
