Spanish, spoken by over 500 million people worldwide, is not only a gateway to new languages but also an immersive journey into the vibrant culture of a beautiful country. According to the Memorandum of Understanding between Foreign Trade University (FTU) and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), and in line with efforts to diversify foreign language learning and teaching, the Undergraduate Training & Management Department announces the offering of Spanish courses this semester as follows:

- SPA101
- Credits: 3
- Level: A1 (Beginner)
- Frequency: 3 sessions/week
- SPA102
- Credits: 3
- Level: A2 (Elementary)
- Frequency: 3 sessions/week
- SPA111
- Credits: 3
- Level: B1 (Intermediate)
- Frequency: 3 sessions/week
Who Should Take Which Course?
- SPA101: For complete beginners. This course builds basic vocabulary, grammar, and fundamental communication skills.
- SPA102: For students with some Spanish background, aiming to improve daily-life communication at an elementary level (A2).
- SPA111: For students with a fairly good grasp of Spanish, focusing on enhancing communication, writing, and comprehension in more complex contexts (B1).
All classes are taught by Ms. Beatriz Bacarizo Herrer, a passionate and experienced lecturer. You’ll not only learn the language but also explore Spanish culture through engaging and practical lessons.
How to Register
Students register for the course through FTU Gate according to the schedule announced by the Undergraduate Training & Management Department.
Important Notes:
- The registration process is the same as for all other courses.
- These Spanish courses count as the second foreign language in degree programs that require one and contribute to your accumulated credits, or in some programs (e.g., Hotel Management, Logistics & Supply Chain Management) serve as graduation requirements.
- Students are strongly encouraged to register and take advantage of the many benefits of learning Spanish.
- Make sure to check your personal timetable before registering to avoid schedule conflicts.
