Bachelor in International Business, majoring in International Business – Japanese Advanced Models (International Career Orientation Program) (for cohorts from K64 onward)

1. Training objectives

General Objective

To educate high-quality human resources in the field of international business, with an understanding of advanced Japanese business practices and Vietnamese social and humanistic knowledge, so that they can assume positions ranging from officers to specialists and managers in domestic and international organisations and enterprises.

Specific Objectives

  • PO1: Possess professional knowledge and skills in (i) modern international business knowledge; (ii) advanced Japanese business practices; and (iii) general Vietnamese social and humanistic knowledge in order to undertake work related to economics, international business, and management in domestic and foreign organisations and enterprises.
  • PO2: Possess innovation capability, professional practice capability, the ability to work in multicultural environments, resilience in overcoming difficulties and challenges, and a sense of social responsibility.
  • PO3: Possess foundational and advanced knowledge and skills in international business, strategic management tools, operations management, production, supply, human resources, finance, marketing, communication, branding, and business culture from the perspective of advanced Japanese business practices.
  • PO4: Possess the knowledge and skills to analyse and synthesise information and apply advanced Japanese tools and business practices to solve practical business problems; monitor, evaluate, and improve professional activities; and manage and coordinate business projects in the field of international business.

2. Programme Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

  • PLO 1: Apply foundational knowledge of political science, social sciences and humanities, methodology, scientific worldview, information technology, and other general education knowledge for learning, research, and lifelong work.

Skills

  • PLO 4: Coordinate the collection, organisation, and analysis of data in economic and international business activities.
  • PLO 5: Carry out the research process, including problem identification, critical literature analysis, the use of appropriate data exploitation tools to propose solutions, and implementation planning for international business issues.
  • PI05.1: Carry out the research process, including problem identification, critical literature analysis, and the use of appropriate data exploitation tools to reach well-grounded conclusions.
  • PI05.2: Present and communicate clearly, and engage in argumentation to defend research results.
  • PLO 6: Select and use appropriate communication styles and media in multicultural international environments.
  • PLO 7: Use English proficiently for learning and working in international environments, especially in business, at Level 5/6, and achieve Level 3/6 in a second foreign language (Chinese/Japanese/French/Spanish) under Viet Nam’s 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework as stipulated in Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT. The result for the second foreign language is not included in the cumulative GPA, is not a condition for assessing attainment of programme learning outcomes, and is recorded in the student’s learning certification.
  • PI07.1: Use English proficiently for learning and working in international environments, especially in business, at Level 5/6.
  • PI07.2: Use a second foreign language (Chinese/Japanese/French/Spanish) at Level 3/6.
  • PLO 8: Demonstrate proficiency in office computing in accordance with the advanced IT application standards under Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated 11/03/2014 of the Ministry of Information and Communications; reach level 5/8 in the digital competence domains of data and information literacy, communication and collaboration in digital environments, digital content creation, and safety; and level 4/8 in the domain of artificial intelligence application under the Digital Competence Framework promulgated in Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated 24/01/2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
