- Training objectives
The overarching objective of the undergraduate programme in Law, majoring in International Commercial Law (hereinafter referred to as the International Commercial Law programme), is to provide high-quality human resources with solid expertise in general legal knowledge and, in particular, in international commercial law.
The programme is designed in alignment with the national standards for undergraduate law programmes as promulgated under Decision No. 678/QĐ-BGDĐT dated 14 March 2025, as well as the 2025 plan for programme evaluation and improvement. Accordingly, the curriculum is developed and continuously refined based on the principles of fundamental orientation, openness, flexibility, comprehensiveness, and streamlining, with a focus on specialized and in-depth training.
Upon completion of the programme, graduates are expected to achieve the following programme learning outcomes:
PO1 (Disciplinary Knowledge): Graduates possess advanced and in-depth knowledge of law in general and international commercial law in particular, especially in relation to legal frameworks governing multilateral trading systems and regional trade liberalization.
PO2 (Professional Skills): Graduates demonstrate fundamental professional legal skills, particularly in analyzing and applying legal regulations governing multilateral trading systems and regional trade liberalization to address legal issues arising in international commercial activities. They are capable of undertaking professional tasks requiring adaptability to the dynamic changes of international trade.
PO3 (Language and Digital Competence): Graduates are able to effectively use legal English in professional contexts and apply information technology in legal research, analysis, data processing, and the presentation of legal information for academic and professional purposes.
PO4 (Professional Ethics and Responsibility): Graduates exhibit strong ethical values, professional integrity, physical well-being, and a sense of responsibility and professionalism in their work. They demonstrate a commitment to serving the community and adhere to professional ethical standards and legal norms.
PO5 (Autonomy and Lifelong Learning): Graduates possess the ability for independent learning, critical thinking, and adaptability to change. They demonstrate creativity, entrepreneurial capability, and the capacity to generate employment for themselves and others. They are also well-prepared for further academic advancement or specialized professional training programmes, such as legal practice certification, economic law, and international commercial law.

** Students are allowed to choose the 2nd foreign language of the Training Program (choosing one of the languages: English/Chinese/Japanese/French/Spanish). Upon completion of the 2nd foreign language courses, students achieve level 3/6 of the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam according to Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDDT. The study results of the 2nd foreign language are not included in the cumulative grade point average (GPA) and are not a condition for evaluating the achievement of the program learning outcomes. The study results are recorded and enclosed with the student’s Academic Certificate.
