- Programme Objectives
General objective: The International Business Law Programme based on the professional practice model aims to educate learners who possess political qualities, ethics, good health, comprehensive and systematic professional legal knowledge, a sound understanding of social principles and regularities related to law, basic legal-practice skills, and the ability to work independently, creatively, and effectively to resolve issues in the legal field, adapt to the work environment, and serve the people and the community. Specific objectives:
PO1: Possess comprehensive and specialised legal knowledge in international business law, especially in relation to resolving international business disputes through alternative dispute resolution methods.
PO2: Possess basic legal-practice skills and use them to address legal issues arising in international business activities.
PO3: Proficient in legal English in professional activities, especially when advising and participating in international business dispute resolution.
PO4: Be able to undertake work that requires adaptability to change in the international business environment.
PO5: Be capable of identifying and effectively resolving issues in international business law, particularly in relation to the resolution of international business disputes through alternative dispute resolution methods.
PO6: Demonstrate professional ethics, responsibility, professionalism, good health, a commitment to serving the community and the public, have a design and innovation mindset, have the ability to start a business and create jobs for themselves, for others and lifelong learning, continue to study professional certificates (lawyer certificates, international commercial lawyers, etc.), studying postgraduate training programs in economic law, commercial law, business law, etc.
- Programme Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
PLO1: Apply foundational knowledge of political science, social sciences, and the humanities in study, research, and lifelong work.
PLO2: Apply comprehensive theoretical knowledge and basic practical knowledge in the field of law, including knowledge of theory, state history and law; political-legal theories; constitutional law, human rights; legal profession and ethics of the legal profession; arguments and writing skills in the legal profession as a foundation for legal practice.
PLO3: Synthesize legal knowledge and practices of administrative law knowledge; economic law knowledge; international law knowledge; civil law knowledge; criminal law knowledge and international business law as well as alternative dispute resolution methods to meet the practical requirements of legal practice in the field of international business.
Skills
PLO4: Demonstrate professional practice skills in the context of international business, including: analyzing, summarizing, synthesizing and evaluating legal data, information and regulations; criticizing, consulting, detecting and solving legal issues; drafting legal documents.
PLO5: Proficiency in English (equivalent to level 5/6 of the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework issued together with the Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDDT dated 24/01/2014 of the Ministry of Education and Training) and the ability to use legal English in studying, researching and practicing law.
PLO 6: Demonstrate the ability to effectively apply information technology for learning, research and legal practice; having the ability to look up legal documents and use digital tools according to Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated 11/3/2014
PLO7: Demonstrate effective and collegial communication and interaction skills; and the ability to express ideas, present, work independently and in teams, organise work, manage time, and evaluate results in the course of study and work.
Autonomy and Responsibility
PLO8: Show loyalty to the country, sound political awareness, and respect for the rule of law; support reform, justice, and human rights; demonstrate a commitment to serving the people, the community, and the interests of the nation; and act with honesty, integrity, prudence, openness, empathy, and professional legal ethics.

* Students can choose a second foreign language as part of their training program (selecting one of the following languages: English, Chinese, Japanese, French, or Spanish). Upon completion of the second foreign language modules, students achieve level 3/6 in the 6-level foreign language proficiency framework used in Vietnam, as stipulated in Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT. The results of learning a second foreign language are not included in the cumulative GPA and are not a condition for evaluating the level of achievement of the training program’s output standards. The learning results are recorded and accompanied by the student’s academic certificate.
