- Training objectives
General objectives
The program aims to develop high-quality human resources with strong political and ethical qualities, comprehensive professional knowledge, effective English proficiency, and fundamental practical skills. Graduates are expected to demonstrate independence, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities, and to undertake roles as specialists, managers, or entrepreneurs in the fields of economics and business, particularly in international economics and business. They are well prepared to work in internationally oriented enterprises, international organizations, public sector agencies, and research institutions.
Specific Objectives (Pos)
Upon graduation, students will:
PO1: Establish themselves as competent professionals or managers in positions related to economics and business, particularly in international economics and business;
PO2: Possess a solid foundation in economics and business, together with specialized knowledge in various areas of international economics and business, including in-depth expertise in one or more fields;
PO3: Possess good health, strong political and professional ethical qualities, resilience in overcoming challenges, an innovative mindset, self-directed capability, and a sense of responsibility towards oneself, the collective, and the community;
PO4: Work effectively in a digital environment and use English proficiently in professional activities;
PO5: Demonstrate the ability to identify, analyze, synthesize, and critically evaluate complex problems in economics and business; connect ideas and develop business models in international contexts; Demonstrate the capacity for lifelong learning and pursue advanced studies at the master’s or doctoral level in economics and business.

Knowledge
PLO1: Apply foundational knowledge of natural sciences, political science, social sciences and humanities, and law for learning and working (B3);
PLO2: Apply economic and business theories and data analysis tools to analyze real-world contexts at the national or organizational level (B3);
PLO3: Analyze specialized economic and business issues of a nation, organization, or enterprise operatingin or linked to the international environment (B4);
Skills
PLO4: Perform proficiently communication, information delivery, and teamwork skills in academic and professional environments;
PLO5: Coordinate effectively academic and professional activities by leading, playing a key role, or proactively collaborating in a team; integrate personal attributes with professional requirements to develop appropriate career pathways;
PLO6: Articulate creative thinking and an entrepreneurial mindset; effectively coordinate professional skills and academic tools to analyze international economic and business issues, to implement appropriate solutions in study and industry practice;
PLO7: Perform proficiently in English at Level 5/6 of the Vietnam’s Foreign Language Proficiency Framework, including discipline-specific language use;
PLO8: Articulate advanced information technology skills (in accordance with Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated March 14, 2014 of the Ministry of Information and Communications); Digital competency at level 5/8 across key domains (data and information literacy; communication and collaboration in the digital environment; digital content creation; safety) and level 4/8 in the domain of artificial intelligence application, in accordance with the Digital Competency Framework issued under Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated January 24, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training;

PLO9: Integrate a personal value system that emphasizes lifelong learning, professional ethics, adaptability, and resilience; as demonstrated through consistent, self-directed behaviors in overcoming challenges, enhancing professional competence, and adjusting learning and working approaches in changing real-world contexts.

- Students may choose a second foreign language offered in the curriculum (one of English, Chinese, Japanese, French, or Spanish). Upon completing the second foreign language modules, students are expected to achieve Level 3/6 of the Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework in accordance with Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT. The results of the second foreign language are not included in the cumulative GPA and are not a requirement for meeting the program’s learning outcomes. However, the results will be recorded in the student’s academic transcript as a certificate of completion.
