1. Training objectives
General objectives
The Bachelor Program in International Economics aims to produce high-quality human resources with strong political qualities, ethical values, and professional competencies, capable of undertaking roles such as consultants, analysts, or managers in the fields of economics and international economics within ministries and relevant government agencies, enterprises, banks, and investment funds. This program is designed to ensure that graduates are able to analyse, evaluate, research, and apply knowledge to international economic issues in a scientific, logical, and creative manner. This program also equips graduates with practical skills in decision-making and problem-solving in the field of international economics and related areas. Graduates will master both theoretical and practical tools, as well as essential skills for lifelong learning, scientific research, and working independently and effectively, thereby meeting the demands of industrialisation, modernisation, and international economic integration.
Specific Objectives
PO1: Provide knowledge in the field of international economics from the individual and enterprise levels to the national and international levels;
PO2: Develop skills in applying research methods and tools to analyse and evaluate issues in the field of international economics;
PO3: Promote physical well-being; develop skills in presentation, critical thinking, foreign language, and office IT skills;
PO4: Foster creativity, a sense of responsibility, and community engagement.

About knowledge
PLO 1: Apply fundamental knowledge of political science, social sciences, and humanities for learning and working;

PLO 4: Demonstrate critical thinking, learning and research skills; communication and information delivery skills;
PLO 5: Achieve level 4/6 in foreign language proficiency (English or French) according to the Vietnamese framework of foreign language competence under Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT dated January 24, 2014 of the Ministry of Education and Training;
PLO 6: Achieve level 5/8 in proficiency across the digital competence domains (data and information literacy; communication and collaboration in digital environments; digital content creation; safety) and Level 4/8 in the domain of artificial intelligence application domain, in accordance with the Digital Competence Framework under Circular No. 02/2025/BGDĐT dated January 24, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training;

Upon completion of the second foreign language courses, students are expected to achieve level 3/6 of the Vietnamese 6-level foreign language competence framework in accordance with Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT.
The results of the second foreign language courses are not included in the cumulative grade point average and are not considered as a requirement for assessing the achievement of program learning outcomes. These results are recorded and issued together with the student’s academic transcript.
