Bachelor in Japanese Language, majoring in Business Japanese (High-Quality Program, minor in International Business) (for cohort 64)

  1. Training objectives

General Objectives:

The program is application-oriented and aims to develop creative, high-achieving global citizens who are responsible and resilient. Graduates are prepared to undertake professional roles in Vietnamese, Japanese, and international organizations and enterprises. They will possess advanced proficiency in Japanese for international business contexts, independent English communication skills, foundational knowledge of Japanese culture and society—particularly business culture—and a solid grounding in international business. Graduates are expected to have the potential to advance to middle management positions within a short period and to pursue lifelong learning.

Specific Objectives:

PO1: Demonstrate sound political awareness, ethical qualities, and critical thinking approaches.

PO2: Possess fundamental knowledge of social sciences, politics, economics, mathematics, and statistics in economics. 

PO3: Acquire advanced knowledge and proficiency in Japanese, especially Business Japanese, along with appropriate communication skills aligned with Japanese cultural norms for working in Japan-related organizations and enterprises. 

PO4: Possess foundational knowledge of International Business. 

PO5: Communicate independently in English. 

PO6: Effectively use information technology to support learning and work in the context of rapid technological advancement (Industry 4.0). 

PO7: Work independently or collaboratively in modern international environments; demonstrate personal and team responsibility in knowledge dissemination and supervision of assigned tasks. 

PO8: Engage in lifelong learning and pursue further studies at postgraduate levels in Japan studies, economics, or business, both domestically and internationally.Program Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

PLO1: Apply foundational knowledge of political science, social sciences, and humanities in study and work. 

PLO2: Apply knowledge of Business Japanese at a level equivalent to at least J2 (minimum 500/800 on BJT or BJ2 with at least 700/1000 on STBJ) in academic and professional contexts. 

PLO3: Apply knowledge of Japan’s country, people, society, and business communication culture in work and daily life. 

PI1: Apply knowledge of Japan’s country, people, and society. 

PI2: Apply knowledge of communication and workplace culture in Japanese enterprises. 

PLO4: Analyze issues related to specialized Business Japanese knowledge. 

PLO5: Apply fundamental knowledge of International Business across various fields or in further academic study.

Skills

PLO6: Demonstrate proficiency in Business Japanese at a level equivalent to J2 (BJT) or BJ2 (STBJ). 

PLO7: Demonstrate critical thinking, problem identification, and problem-solving skills; effectively communicate problems and solutions in professional contexts. 

PI1: Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

PI2: Communicate and transfer knowledge and solutions effectively. 

PLO8: Demonstrate management and leadership skills, including team coordination, task allocation, evaluation, relationship building, negotiation, persuasion, and decision-making with social responsibility. 

PLO9: Communicate independently in English at Level 4/6 of the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework. 

PLO10: Demonstrate advanced IT skills (in accordance with Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT) and digital competency at Level 4/8 under the national digital competency framework.

PLO11: Demonstrate initiative in planning, implementing, evaluating, and improving performance; engage in self-directed learning to enhance professional competence.
