1. Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
General Objectives
To train bachelors capable of undertaking positions requiring the use of the Chinese language and Business Chinese in domestic and international organizations and enterprises. Graduates will possess sound political qualities, professional ethics, and good health; solid professional expertise, practical knowledge, and proficient skills in the Chinese language and Business Chinese; and fundamental knowledge of economics, international trade, and Chinese culture and society. They will demonstrate the ability to use a second foreign language; practical professional skills; and skills in identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and solving problems. Furthermore, graduates will exhibit a commitment to lifelong learning, autonomy and responsibility, and a spirit of community service. They will be qualified to hold positions utilizing the Chinese language in domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises, adapt well to multicultural environments, and be fully prepared to pursue higher education.
Specific Objectives:
PO1: To train human resources with sound political qualities, professional ethics, and good health, who are capable of undertaking tasks requiring the use of Business Chinese in the fields of economics and international trade, such as business translation and interpretation, teaching, sales, import-export, and logistics at domestic and international enterprises and organizations.
PO2: To train human resources with developed capacities for innovation, an entrepreneurial mindset, and flexible problem-solving; team leadership abilities, and practical professional skills in communication and negotiation; demonstrating resilience in overcoming challenges, autonomy, and social responsibility.
PO3: To equip students with foundational and specialized knowledge of the Chinese language and Business Chinese, alongside a basic foundation in economics and international trade; proficient listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Business Chinese; effective translation and interpretation capacities in international business environments; and the ability to work independently and adapt to multicultural environments.
PO4: To provide an application-oriented, interdisciplinary training program that deepens Business Chinese language proficiency combined with a basic foundation in economics and international trade. The program focuses on bilingual training, emphasizes the cultivation of self-study and research abilities, and prioritizes the development of learners’ capacities through extracurricular environments following a four-year academic roadmap at the institution and professional practicums at domestic and international enterprises.
2. Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Knowledge
PLO1: Apply foundational knowledge of political science, social sciences, and humanities in study and work.

PI02.2: Present and apply foundational knowledge of Chinese culture and area studies for standard communication and behavior in multicultural environments.
PI02.3: Proficiently apply foundational knowledge of business language to comprehend specialized documents, draft texts, and write common business correspondence.
PLO3: Apply basic knowledge of economics and trade in translation, interpretation, transactions, negotiations, contract drafting, and handling professional situations in international trade.
PI03.1: Apply theories and basic knowledge of economics and trade to appropriately use terminology and writing styles in translation and interpretation operations.
PI03.2: Apply basic knowledge of economics and trade in commercial transactions, negotiations, and contract drafting.
PI03.3: Apply basic knowledge of economics and trade to handle practical commercial situations.
Skills
PLO4: Effectively use listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; communication, negotiation, and translation-interpretation skills; demonstrate the capacity to evaluate and handle emergent situations.
PI04.1: Proficiently use Chinese (equivalent to Level 5/6) according to the Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam issued under Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT.
PI04.2: Effectively use listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in daily life; communication, negotiation, business correspondence, and contract drafting skills at work.
PI04.3: Effectively use translation and interpretation skills during commercial transactions and negotiations.
PLO5: Effectively use study, research, personal, and teamwork skills in studying, conducting research, and pursuing professional development.
PI05.1: Apply active learning methods and scientific research techniques to accomplish academic and research tasks with high efficiency, combined with effective time management and information synthesis.
PI05.2: Demonstrate teamwork capacity and self-regulation of personal skills in communication, conflict resolution, and adaptation to achieve common goals in study, research, and professional development projects throughout the four-year academic roadmap.
PLO6: Apply critical thinking and argumentation skills, and the capacity to synthesize, analyze, identify, and solve professional problems.

PLO7: Proficiently use a foreign language (equivalent to Level 3/6) according to the Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam issued under Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT.
PLO8: Meet the advanced information technology skill standards according to Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated March 14, 2014, by the Ministry of Information and Communications; achieve level 4/8 in proficiency across all competency domains of the digital competency framework according to Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated January 24, 2025, by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Autonomy and Responsibility
PLO9: Develop resilience to overcome difficulties and challenges, and the ability to generate creative ideas for innovations that adapt to multicultural environments and changing business landscapes, thereby self-directing, drawing professional conclusions, and defending personal viewpoints before a group.
