1. Training objectives
General objectives
The High-Quality Bachelor’s Program in International Economics aims to train highly qualified human resources who possess strong political awareness, ethical standards, and professional competence. Graduates are expected to be capable of undertaking roles as consultants, analysts, or managers in the fields of economics and international economics within ministries, governmental agencies, enterprises, banks, and investment funds. The program is designed to ensure that graduates are able to analyze, evaluate, research, and practically address issues in international economics in a scientific, logical, and creative manner. It also equips students with practical skills in decision-making and problem-solving in international economics and related fields. Graduates will acquire solid theoretical and practical tools, along with essential skills for learning, scientific research, and working independently and effectively, meeting the demands of industrialization, modernization, and international economic integration in a fully English-speaking working environment.
Specific Objectives
PO1: Provide knowledge in international economics at the individual, enterprise, national, and international levels;
PO2: Equip students with skills in applying research methods and tools to analyze and evaluate issues in international economics;
PO3: Develop physical well-being and train students in presentation, critical thinking, foreign language proficiency, and office information technology skills;
PO4: Foster creativity, a sense of responsibility, community service awareness, and the ability to work in an international environment.
2. Program Learning Outcomes
About knowledge
PLO 1: Apply foundational knowledge in political science, social sciences, and humanities to study and work effectively;
PLO 2: Analyze the activities of economic entities related to the field of international economics;
PLO 3: Apply research methods and tools to solve issues related to international economics;
About skills
PLO 4: Demonstrate critical thinking, learning and research skills, as well as communication and information delivery skills;
PLO 5: Achieve Level 5 out of 6 in English language proficiency according to the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework, as stipulated in Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT dated January 24, 2014 by the Ministry of Education and Training;
PLO 6: Achieve Level 5 out of 8 in digital competency domains (data and information literacy; communication and collaboration in digital environments; digital content creation; safety), and Level 4 out of 8 in artificial intelligence application competency, in accordance with the Digital Competency Framework under Circular No. 02/2025/BGDĐT dated January 24, 2025 by the Ministry of Education and Training;

** Students may choose to study a second foreign language offered in the program (selecting one of the following: English, Chinese, Japanese, French, or Spanish). Upon completion of the second foreign language courses, students are expected to achieve Level 3/6 of the Vietnamese Six-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework, in accordance with Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT. The results of the second foreign language courses are not included in the cumulative grade point average (GPA) and are not considered as a requirement for assessing the achievement of the program learning outcomes. However, these results will be recorded and included in the student’s academic transcript as a supplementary certification.
