1. Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
General Objectives
To train high-quality human resources capable of taking on positions requiring advanced Chinese language proficiency at domestic and international organizations and enterprises; possessing sound political qualities, professional ethics, and good health; demonstrating proficiency in Chinese and Business Chinese in international business activities; having a solid grounding in international business expertise; using professional digital technologies effectively; communicating independently in a second foreign language; and embodying a spirit of service, a developmental mindset, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with the ability to identify and solve problems, exercise autonomy and accountability, pursue self-directed learning, provide professional leadership, and adapt rapidly to a changing international environment.
Specific Objectives
PO1: To train high-quality human resources with sound political qualities, professional ethics, and good health who are capable of assuming positions involving the use of Business Chinese, and of undertaking roles in business, management, and commercial translation and interpreting at domestic and international enterprises and organizations.
PO2: To train human resources with developed capacities for innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and flexible problem-solving; with professional practical competence in negotiation and business strategy development; with the ability to work independently, demonstrate leadership, organize and manage work, and adapt to multicultural environments; and with resilience, autonomy, and social responsibility.
PO3: To equip learners with solid foundational and specialized knowledge of Chinese, Business Chinese, and international business; and with advanced listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation/interpreting skills in Business Chinese for proficient use in the international business environment.
PO4: The program adopts an interdisciplinary and application-oriented approach: training dual-competency graduates by combining Business Chinese as the major and International Business as the minor; emphasizing the development of research competence and market analysis using digital tools for business planning; integrating activities to enhance individual competence, teamwork, and professional practical skills throughout the four-year study pathway; and fostering entrepreneurship through practical projects that leverage opportunities related to China and other countries and regions where Chinese is used.
2. Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Knowledge
PLO1: Apply foundational knowledge of political science, social sciences, and the humanities in learning and work.

PI02.1: Master and apply foundational knowledge of Chinese phonetics, grammar, and pragmatics; and develop advanced Chinese listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
PI02.2: Present and apply foundational knowledge of Chinese culture and area studies in communication and appropriate conduct in multicultural environments.
PI02.3: Apply proficiently foundational knowledge of commercial language to comprehend specialized materials, draft documents and common business correspondence, analyze current situations, and propose solutions.
PLO3: Apply fundamental knowledge of economics and commerce, as well as core knowledge of international business, in translation and interpreting, transactions, negotiations, drafting business correspondence and commercial contracts, and handling professional situations in the international business environment.
PI03.1: Apply basic theories of economics and commerce, as well as core knowledge of international business, in order to use appropriate terminology and style in translation and interpreting, transactions, negotiations, and the drafting of business correspondence and commercial contracts.

Skills
PLO4: Use effectively listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; communication, negotiation, translation and interpreting skills; and coordination and professional leadership skills in the international business environment; and demonstrate the ability to assess and handle professional situations in a professional manner.
PI04.1: Demonstrate proficiency in Chinese at Level 5/6 equivalent under the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework promulgated under Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDĐT.
PI04.2: Demonstrate proficiency in drafting business correspondence and commercial contracts; use communication skills effectively; analyze and assess real-life situations; and propose professional solutions for effective commercial negotiation.
PI04.3: Use translation and interpreting skills effectively in transactions and commercial negotiations.
PLO5: Use effectively study and research skills, personal skills, and teamwork skills in learning, research, and professional development.
PI05.1: Apply active learning methods and scientific research techniques; demonstrate teamwork ability and self-adjustment of personal skills in communication, conflict resolution, and adaptation in order to achieve common goals in learning, research, and professional development tasks and projects.
PI05.2: Develop and implement career development plans based on self-assessment, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to effectively carry out such plans through learning and research tasks and professional development activities across the four-year study pathway.
PLO6: Apply critical and creative thinking to analyze realities, linguistic and multicultural situations, and complex business operations; thereby develop feasible action plans, confidently present and defend professional conclusions to build consensus or persuasion, and effectively identify and solve professional problems.

PLO9: Meet the advanced information technology competency standard in accordance with Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated March 14, 2014 of the Ministry of Information and Communications; and attain Level 4/8 in all competence domains of the Digital Competency Framework under Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated January 24, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Autonomy and Responsibility
